Tutorial Tuesday #1: Easy & Fast Dinner

Hi My Friends,

If you want to make an easy and fast dinner, read the following instructions. This meal will be spaghetti, salad, garlic French bread, and kiwi:

  • Get your ingredients together. The spaghetti will require spaghetti noodles, sauce (I prefer Ragu, super chunky mushroom), any spices you like on your spaghetti (I actually used salt, pepper, and some kind of chicken seasoning because it is so good), and you’ll have a nicer dinner if you also have some garlic French bread on hand.

  • Now, boil some water in a pan. You’ll obviously want a pan that has tall walls (not a sauce pan). You’ll want to fill the water a little under half way. You don’t want the water to boil over.
  • Once the water is boiled, put the noodles in the pan. You may need to slightly turn down the heat on the stove top so that the water doesn’t boil over. You’ll need to slightly adjust the heat every now and then from “HIGH” to “Medium/High” depending upon how fast you want the noodles to cook.
  • You’ll know the noodles are finished cooking when they are tender enough to cut with a fork. Once they are, turn the heat off and strain the water out of the pan into the sink.
  • Put butter in the spaghetti noodles.
  • Heat your sauce in the microwave in a microwave safe dish (or you can heat the sauce on the stove top in a sauce pan).
  • Pour the sauce over the spaghetti inside the pan, unless you think you may have left-overs later. If you do think you’ll have left-overs, make sure you pour the sauce on the noodles after you put your portioned noodles on your plate/in your bowl. The rest of the unused sauce and noodles needs to be stored separately in the fridge. (Keeping them separated until reheated makes the left-over spaghetti taste better.)
  • Once your spaghetti portions are on either your plate or in your bowl, you can add the spices you like.
  • Next, get your salad ingredients together. You’ll at least need green leaf lettuce, cherry tomatoes, and the dressing of your choice. You can add other things to your own salad as well if you wish, such as olives, peppers, cucumbers, etc…
  • Don’t forget to put a serving of fruit on your plate. I chose kiwi.

Below is your meal all finished and ready to eat. Enjoy! :)

I know this meal is super super easy, but I felt like there needed to be a tutorial out there for all of us who hate to cook, but love food and hate to wait to eat it.

Let me know what you think of this tutorial choice I chose for this Tutorial Tuesday this week.
