Adventurous Friday #3: Adventures In Music Making

Hi My Lovely Star Fishies!

Last Sunday (and most Sundays) I get the joy of creating music with my husband Derek, my brother Jake, and our friend Zach. It’s always an adventure because it always feels different. It always feels brand new.

We’re trying to find an efficient process to help us finish our songs and make them more polished as well. So far we have two albums out, but they are mostly improvised songs. Some of the songs are completely improvised, and others are only partially so.

If you’d like to listen to our music we’ve released so far, you can go to our band page.

Hearts & Stars,

MaceyLou

Adventurous Friday #1: Cherokee Dam & Beach

Hello Lovely Wonder-things,

Today’s blog post has been published so late, I know. I’m so sorry, but I think you all will enjoy this short and sweet photo/art representation of our little adventure.

We went to the Lake by Cherokee Dam. It is not too far from Jefferson City, TN. Just a little drive.

1} A Fisherman’s shop that was on the way there…

2} The signs pointing us to the beach & lake…

3} We’re here!!

4} Me playing around on the swing set in the park area where all the trees are.

5} Well, we got super hungry walking and acting silly and playing around…so we got Hibachi Chicken!!

We also took lots and lots of photos of squirrels, so I cut a jumping squirrel out of a photo and made a pattern of him. I put a color behind the pattern to soften it. I think it would make a lovely tote bag pattern! <3

BEFORE EDITING (only cropped):

AFTER EDITING {Made into a little pattern}:

Any thoughts on my pattern I created? He sort of looks like a little fox, doesn’t he? :)

Hearts & Stars,

MaceyLou
